Traveling with Crown Point Press is a DVD of the keynote address Kathan Brown gave at the annual conference for the Southern Graphics Council in Chicago, 2009. Since 1980, Kathan has taken Crown Point on the road, first traveling with a group of artists to the island of Ponape, where 12 artist talks were recorded and issued on a three vinyl record set, Vision # 4: Word of Mouth. In the mid-80s, Kathan brought Crown Point artists to China and Japan, where they worked with traditional craftspeople to make woodblock prints. In Traveling with Crown Point Press, Kathan brings these projects to life, with archival video footage and still photography. Some of the artists included are Pat Steir, Al Held, John Cage, Richard Diebenkorn, Marina Abramovic, and Tom Marioni.
