| Ash Dome, 1998. A Print by David NashColor aquatint, 16 x 20", edition 50.
David Nash comes from a tradition of Land Artists whose work requires the viewer to take a conceptual leap. Ash Dome is a kind of nature study: It was a preliminary work to Nash's living Ash Dome Sculpture. I love to imagine what this sculpture might look like right now; enveloping, intertwining and twisting. Nash's strong interest in and ties to the natural world allow him to manipulate and sculpt it to powerful effect while still maintaining an organic sensibility.
